After concluding the 'School Trilogy', BTS now sings about "Youth"! The beginning of the 'Youth Duology'!

BTS returns with their third mini album 'HYYH pt.1'. It’s an album where you can meet BTS, who are no longer just young boys but are slowly growing up. Each track is imbued with lyrical and pop feelings, allowing listeners to feel both major and minor changes in their music.
After successfully concluding the "School Trilogy" albums, which covered the biggest concerns of teenagers such as dreams, happiness, and love, BTS discusses "Youth" in this album. 'HYYH', which means the most beautiful moment in life, takes on the theme of this beautiful yet anxious moment just as BTS steps into their youth. The 'HYYH pt.1' set to be released on April 29, focuses more on the precariousness of an uncertain future than on the brilliance of youth. Unlike before, where the rapper members (RM, Suga, J-Hope) primarily participated in song production, this time the vocal members (Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook) also have their names in the producing and composing credits. It's an album that shows the musically growing aspects of BTS.

BTS presents a significantly changed visual after their debut. They have shed some of their intensity to fill the frame with a more comfortable and languid atmosphere instead. 'HYYH pt.1's photos use 'flowers', most resembling youth, as the main subject. Stepping out of the studio, they visited famous cherry blossom spots in Gyeongju Bomun Complex and Cheomseongdae canola flower fields, as well as beaches with a sense of solitude. Although the cherry blossoms bloom beautifully, the gaze of BTS standing against this backdrop seems somewhat anxious. Through the precarious gaze contrasting with the bright scenery, the album expresses the theme of youth's anxiety.

[Introducing the title track ‘I NEED U’]
The title track of the third mini album 'HYYH pt.1', ‘I NEED U’, is an electro-hip hop track with an urban style. It’s a song where lyrical oriental main themes are combined with wild hip hop. Sound-wise, it uses electric sources to present a different feel from BTS's previous music. ‘I NEED U’ contains the desperate attempt to hold onto a love that seems to be plummeting to its end.
Through 'Boy In Luv', 'Danger', and ‘I NEED U’, BTS weaves the process of love beginning and ending into one story. From the somewhat immature and cute confession in 'Boy In Luv', saying "I want to be, your oppa", to expressing the frustration of love not going as planned in 'Danger', and now singing about the anxiety over a love that seems to be ending. The love that seems to burn forever but eventually fades, and the youth that blooms most beautifully but withers over time, overlap, making it the track that best expresses the album's theme of ‘HYYH’.
